At max20, we’re proud to back the NHS and the incredible individuals who go above and beyond to support its mission – both professionally and personally. That’s why we launched Charity Champions, our new giving initiative that sponsors NHS-related fundraising efforts led by our team and their colleagues.
Our most recent donation goes to support the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, via their dedicated charity, NorthCare. On Saturday 21 June, a determined team of senior leaders from the Trust took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge – a gruelling 24-mile trek over Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, with more than 5,000 feet of ascent completed in just 12 hours.
The challenge team includes:
- Lorna Allan, Chief Digital and Information Officer
- Sarah McGovern, EPR Programme Director
- Jenny Aldersley, Head of Communications
- Paula Markham, Associate Director of Application Services
Their aim? To raise £1,500 to help fund enhancements for patients and visitors across NCA hospitals – such as sensory gardens, wellbeing services, and specialist dementia-friendly resources.
“Small touches like these can make a huge difference,” said Lorna Allan. “They help our hospitals feel more human.”
“I now know the scale of the challenge and my nerves are jangling!” added Jenny Aldersley. “But I’m excited – and hoping for good weather, no blisters, and manageable hay fever!”
We’re incredibly proud to support their effort with a £500 sponsorship through Charity Champions. This follows on from earlier this year, when we backed The Walton Centre’s Goggins Challenge with the same donation.
