Over the weekend of 4th-6th April, a dedicated group of runners from Lymm Runners took on their version of the infamous Goggins Challenge – running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours, all in aid of The Walton Centre Charity.
The challenge, inspired by ultra-athlete David Goggins, is a true test of endurance and determination, and we’re thrilled to share that our very own Admin Manager, Judith Fullard, was among those who took part. Judith completed 6 out of the 12 runs, covering a total of 24 miles over the weekend – a remarkable “Goggins” effort!
One of the driving forces behind the event was Richard, who organised the challenge as a way to give back in gratitude for the life-changing treatment he received at The Walton Centre. Richard’s personal connection to the cause was evident as he joined Judith for several of the runs, and we couldn’t be prouder of the teamwork and spirit shown.

But the support didn’t stop there. Dennis Yarwood, a dedicated runner and fellow max20 employee, joined in the fun too! Dennis, who’s no stranger to marathons, half-marathons, and 10Ks, came along to offer his support, even running alongside Judith for one of the legs. It’s no surprise to see Dennis out there, as he’s always up for a running challenge, but his presence added an extra level of encouragement and camaraderie to the event.

This incredible effort was all in support of The Walton Centre, a specialist NHS hospital in Liverpool that provides world-class care for brain, spine, and neurological conditions. The hospital’s impact on the Lymm Runners community has been profound, which is why it was chosen as the charity to support for this year’s challenge. The funds raised will go a long way in supporting the centre’s vital work and helping to improve the lives of many people facing complex neurological issues.
At max20, we are incredibly proud to support this initiative and extend a huge congratulations to Judith, Richard, Dennis, and everyone who took part. The effort and dedication shown by all involved are truly inspiring, and we are grateful for the opportunity to support such a worthy cause.
If you’d like to help support this great cause, donations are still being accepted. You can donate to The Walton Centre Charity’s Lymm Runners Goggins Challenge here – The Walton Centre Charity – Lymm Runners Goggins Challenge
