Our very own “resident runner” Dennis was back in action on Sunday, 18th May – and not content with just one race, he took on two!
First up was the AJ Bell-sponsored Manchester Half Marathon, where Dennis was running in support of the Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity, now part of the MFT Charity. After completing the 13.1-mile course in a fantastic 1 hour and 59 minutes, you’d think he’d earned a rest. But not Dennis…
Following a quick change and short recovery, Dennis laced up again – this time as part of the official Pacer Team for the 10K race, also sponsored by AJ Bell. Tasked with pacing runners to finish in 1 hour and 15 minutes, he hit his mark and helped others reach their goals too.
In total, Dennis covered just under 20 miles in one day – an incredible achievement and all in aid of a brilliant NHS cause.
A New max20 Giving Initiative
This event also marks a proud moment for us at max20. As part of a new sponsorship initiative, we’re committing £500 to each NHS-related cause our team supports through events like these. Earlier this year, we donated £500 to the “Goggins Challenge” for The Walton Centre, and now, thanks to Dennis, the MFT Children’s Hospital will receive the same.
We’re proud to back our people when they go the extra mile – quite literally – for such meaningful causes.
